Introduction
In a significant move for the project management community, the Project Management Institute® (PMI) and Agile Alliance® announced a merger, effective December 31, 2024, as detailed in PMI's press release and Agile Alliance’s announcement. This union aims to combine the structured methodologies of PMI with the adaptive practices of Agile Alliance, heralding a new era for professionals in the field.
With the merger between PMI and Agile Alliance sizzling in the project management community, it’s only fitting to present a recipe that blends both worlds. Bon Appétit!

Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Agile Manifesto Values - The foundation of adaptability and collaboration.
- 2 tablespoons of PMI's Traditional Project Management - Adds structure with a dash of predictability.
- A sprinkle of PMI's Global Reach - Expands influence for widespread appeal.
- 3 doses of Agile Thought Leadership - Infuses bold ideas with a rebellious spirit.
- 1 part Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) - Previously acquired by PMI, it layers in complexity.
- A pinch of Controversy - Keeps the medley lively.
- Generous helping of Certification Programs - Thickens with professional credibility.
- A dash of Agile Events - Enhances community engagement and networking.
- 1 heaping tablespoon of Integration - Ensures Agile methodologies blend smoothly with PMI's framework.
- A few drops of Irony - A nod to Agile’s transformation from disruptor to establishment.
- Optional: A hint of Corporate Speak - Adds a polished, boardroom-friendly finish.
Steps
- Heat Expectations: Begin by heating the industry's expectations in a large pot over medium heat.
- Establish the Base: Pour in the Agile Manifesto Values, ensuring an even spread at the bottom.
- Add Structure: Slowly stir in PMI's Traditional Project Management, ensuring it blends without overpowering Agile.
- Expand the Flavor: Introduce PMI's Global Reach, ensuring it is distributed throughout.
- Infuse Innovation: Gently add doses of Agile Thought Leadership to ensure innovative ideas simmer into the mix without boiling over.
- Layer Complexity and Controversy: Incorporate Disciplined Agile Delivery for depth, and a pinch of Controversy to keep the medley bubbling.
- Thicken the Mix: Add Certification Programs to refine the medley’s texture.
- Foster Community: Diligently mix in Agile Events, ensuring they enhance rather than dissolve the communal spirit of the medley.
- Integrate: Add a cup of Integration and stir until seamless.
- Serve with Irony: Add a few drops of Irony for a reflective touch.
- Garnish as Desired: Optionally, top with Corporate Speak for boardroom appeal.

“Agile Protocol: The Transformation Ultimatum” Lands on the Amazon Best Sellers List!
17 April 2025
BY SCOTT M. GRAFFIUS | ScottGraffius.com

Amazon Influences How People Buy, Read, and Listen to Books
Founded on 5 July 1994, Amazon began as an online bookstore before expanding into one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the world. While the company now offers everything from cloud computing to groceries, books remain a cornerstone of its identity.
Amazon sells millions of books annually, offering titles across every genre and format—including print, eBooks, and audiobooks. The company played a pivotal role in reinvigorating the ebook market with the introduction of Kindle on 19 November 2007, making digital reading more accessible and convenient for millions of people around the world. Readers don’t need a Kindle device to enjoy these books—the free Kindle app allows users to read on their phones, tablets, and computers.
On 19 March 2008, Amazon expanded its reach in audio storytelling by acquiring Audible, the world’s leading producer and provider of audiobooks. Just like with Kindle, listeners don’t need an Audible device—audiobooks can be enjoyed via the Audible app on any smartphone, tablet, or computer.
With a vast and dynamic inventory, Amazon’s Best Sellers lists are updated hourly, reflecting real-time demand and reader interest. These rankings are driven by sales data, making them a powerful snapshot of what readers are buying at any given time.
Best Seller Rankings
Amazon's Best Sellers rankings reflect real-time sales data. As a result, books can move on the list quickly based on reader demand, often before reviews appear. Less than 1% of readers leave reviews for books in certain genres.1,2,3 Further, reviews can take up to 14 days or longer to post, and reviews from outside the US (e.g., from amazon.co.uk, amazon.fr, or amazon.co.jp) sometimes do not display on Amazon.com. So while a book’s early position on the list might seem ahead of its review count, it signals strong early sales and reader enthusiasm.
Agile Protocol Made the List!
Just days after its release, Agile Protocol: The Transformation Ultimatum by Scott M. Graffius has earned a spot on the Amazon Best Sellers list in IT Project Management.
A visual follows.

Praise for Agile Protocol
Readers looking for an entertaining and insightful take on Agile are driving this early momentum. Now’s a great time to discover what’s behind the buzz.
